hello everybody this is jeff at etrailer.com today we're going to take a look at this deca yellow butt connector for 12 to 10 gauge size wire it is for a quantity of one connector now this yellow butt connector will join two lengths of 12 gauge or 10 gauge size wire it insulates the connection with this heat shrinkable nylon for adjustability and durability and the yellow color will indicate the size wire this connector will fit the 12 to 10 gauge size also if you look closely on it it is it is also stamped on their 12 to 10 gauge awg which is telling me the wire size this is designed for now to install your wire what you'll do is you'll strip off about a quarter of an inch of insulation on the end of each wire that you're wanting to connect insert one end of the stripped wire into there until it goes all the way and it won't go any further basically in the very middle they have a block
