hello my name is Rebecca Larimer I am an internationally certified horse trainer and instructor and today I'm going to show you how to tie a cinch on or girth on a western saddle so first you're going to lift the stirrup up and over and place it on to the seat then you're going to reach underneath your horse and grab the cinch or girth it's on the other side of them and you're going to take the end of the strap that's supplied on the saddle and loop it through the girth the lower girth ring take the end of the strap loop it up through the ring the girth ring that's supplied on the saddle and then come back down and you're just going to loop back and forth two or three times just like that make sure it's nice and flat and lays nice and comfortably on the horse and then slowly tighten and it helps to pull on this upper one as you're tightening the girth then you're going to take the end t
