hey guys when today for being silly we're going to talk to you about passive crossover networks how they work what does all kind of the neat stuff so stay tuned [Music] this is a passive crossover network inside of it is caps coils resistors switches screws all kinds of neat things that make your speakers sound better but what is it actually doing what does it look like what is happening when you put power into this and it attaches to the speakers good question well with the help of an RTA we could visually see what's going on here these are our TAS they're going to give us a visual representation what the audio is doing now this crossover is a two-way so it has a mid and a tweeter so we want to be able to see which one of these is which now what we need to do is hook this up to some form of an amplifier so we'll go ahead and take our mid line and hook that up to our mid-range output an
