[Music] hi everyone so today we're going to look at for loops in the java shell all right so we're dealing with java shell version 14.0.1 so it's a java sdk version 14. so i'm just going to go and type in j shell like that and so now i'm in the java shell it's a little bit like the the python repl and what i'm going to do is i'm going to paste in a for loop statement that i have from another exercise so what we have here is a for loop and it has an integer that is a counter basically called i it starts at zero and we'll be going looping around we're not going to do it 100 times we're going to do it five times so you can actually see what it looks like on the screen and we have a post condition right here that basically increments uh once per loop through but we can also call this instead of i plus plus we can do i is equal to i plus 1. all right so now this is in the java shell it's rea
