Product review & video
Hi, this is Mark, from Show Me Cables and
today I'm going to show you how to terminate an FME Female Crimp Connector for LMR-240. For today's project we are going to need LMR-240
coax cable, an FME female connector, coax stripper and a crimp tool. To begin, slide your ferrule onto the cable. Then, take your coax stripping tool and remove
the jacket and dielectric. The advantage of using a coax strip tool is
it allows you to remove both in one motion. Peel back the braid and place it on top of
the jacket. Slide on the pin and the connector housing,
and push up the braid. Then, slide up the ferrule and you're ready
to crimp. With adequate pressure, crimp the ferrule
onto the jacket. This pinches the ferrule and keeps the connector
in place. Give it a slight tug to test, and you have
successfully terminated an FME connector for LMR-240.
