Standard hand tools are used for cable preparation, but the plug can be terminated without any tools, and can be used for shielded or unshielded applications. The Cat 6A Tool-Free Plug can be terminated on any shielded cable, including F-FTP, U-FTP, F-UTP, and S-FTP. In this video, we’ll be terminating the plug on an F-FTP shielded cable. The Cat 6A Tool-Free Plug comes with the following parts: the internal circuit board and wire manager, the plug body, the plug cover, and the rear nut.
