hey everybody thanks so much for joining us today my name is Brian I'm with shortwave dot me we're the home of real interesting radio today we're gonna do a product review but we're gonna do a look back we're gonna look at an oldie but a goodie as you can already tell we're talking about the sony IC fsw 7600 G shortwave receiver this was an interesting unit came out in the late 90s early 2000s and what made it unique among other things is the quality of this of this unit very very well made and probably at that time one of the very few receivers that actually had synchronous selectable sideband which is a lot more common these days though to be sure you know if you take a look at some of the newer units some like the Texan PL 660 works very well PL 880 doesn't work well at all but it's a lot more common now as my point than it used to be back then this really at the time that it came ou
