[Music] hi today we're here to talk about the helmholtz netlink pro compact that's this little guy here it looks very much like a profibus connector however what it does is it allows you to connect your legacy s7 plc to an ethernet network so that could be for programming it could be for a replacement of using like an ethernet card in the rack um to gather data out of it to connect it to your network so the beauty of it is it's really simple and easy to set up you plug it into your plc into either the mpi or dp port if it's an s7 300 or 400 if you have an s7 200 you can put it into the ppi port there's no hardware configuration changes necessary and as you can see i didn't expand my rack at all so i don't need any more panel space to add a legacy system a legacy plc to a network it's less expensive than a cp card that goes into the rack and is compact and easy to use hopefully this was
