hi this is John from the Garmin marine team and today we're going to talk about manually configuring the GST 24 with a transducer that does not have transducer ID or a transducer with a transducer ID function that is not working properly without XID the transducer will not operate correctly you may even get a message that says transducer disconnected sonar turned off in that case you will need to manually configure the GST 24 to operate correctly with the installed transducer you will need to verify four pieces of information about your transducer one you must confirm that the transducer is 50 and/or 200 kilometers number two you must know the impedance of the transducer at each of those frequencies number three you must know the max transmit power at each frequency and finally you must have a wiring diagram for the transducer so where are you going to find all that information first yo
