Description
Carl's Place is the internet's leading DIY resource for quality projector screen material at a great low price! We are the original archetype for DIY screen solutions.
ProGray Projector Screen Material is an excellent solution if you plan to staple the material directly onto drywall, without building a frame, and you have low light concerns. It also works well if you are designing a roll down mechanism. ProGray's front projection, thicker and stiffer properties are what make these mounting solutions possible. Its textured, high contrast grey surface with approximate gain of 0.8 - 1.0 and 160 degree viewing angle offer high contrast and deeper black levels in a light low environment. HD and Active 3D images are possible, but ProGray's texture and high contrast gray hue may diminish high-end results. Carl's ProGray Material is made of a fiberglass layer, bonded with PVC and works best for indoor applications. Its black backing prevents light from passing through from behind the screen. A fixed frame is possible, but is more challenging to install. Extra time and effort will be required for fixed frame installations to avoid waves or ripples. Do Not fold or wrap this material, staple it onto the front of a wooden frame and consider buying Black Felt Tape to cover your staples and give yourself a professional-looking, contrast-boosting border (ASIN B00JF7IXXU - sold separately). Designers and DIY enthusiasts alike can choose from 5 sizes and prices perfect for any custom-look, space and budget. This material ships wrinkle free, rolled on a tube with a max height of 93-inches, here on Amazon. Not recommended for use with a short throw projector due to a risk of hot spots.
