hi this is Grayson ward with elite core audio and today I'm going to be showing you our super cat 5 cable and how to strip it back for termination so first thing we're going to want to do is take off this outer jacket here it's a thick rubber coating that protects all of the interior conductors we're just going to separate these out as you can see we have our four pairs of conductors and our drain wire we're going to separate our drain wire and all of our four conductors and pull out this filler in here cut it out with a pair of shears will then pull three of these back down and leave one of them exposed will score it with our knife rotate it many directions and pull free we'll continue this process pulling three back and setting one out to the side on all four pairs until we have done all four pairs now one of the things that's really important whenever you're working with this stuff i
