Description
Capture the intricacies of a starry night sky with the new EOS Ra camera — Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera dedicated to deep sky and night sky photography. Building on the success of the EOS R, the EOS Ra offers 30x magnification in Live View shooting for more accurate focus and roughly 4x more transmission sensitivity of hydrogen-alpha (Hα) rays (656nm) for more vivid, deep-red hues of nebulae, making it ideal for astrophotography enthusiasts. Sharing many of the same advanced features of the EOS R, including a 30.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, a high-precision electronic viewfinder (EVF) and Dual Pixel CMOS AF with 5,655 manually selectable AF positions*, the EOS Ra is capable of capturing and pinpointing dim stars that are difficult to see with the naked eye. A Vari-angle LCD touchscreen allows for comfortable composition at any angle and easier framing when shooting vertically, especially when the camera is mounted to a telescope. Featuring 4K time-lapse capabilities, along with high ISO performance, the movement of stars across the night sky can be recorded in brilliant clarity and detail. With a trusted design that’s been specifically enhanced for astrophotography^, the EOS Ra proves the age-old adage is true: the sky’s the limit!

Product review & video
so after a couple of weeks and months of rumors it's now official the Canon EOS RA is available for pre-order and it's gonna be shipped before the end of the year so what is the canon eos ra it's basically a modified eos are with the a stands for astrophotography so firstly the infrared cutoff filter has been replaced by one which allows more light from hydrogen-alpha emission nebula to pass through onto the sensor if that doesn't make any sense you might want to go watch my video about astro modifying cameras because it explains it in a lot more depth but basically I'll give you a little summary stock cameras capture light in the visible spectrum however filters in front of the sensor block a lot of the red specially the deep reds and this is particularly bad for hydrogen alpha emission every day because their wavelength of light that they admit is 656 nanometers which is within that s
