now when doing the hinge application method you will need to take some pieces of blue painters tape and fix them to the top edge of the statement and these will act as a pinch now you'll begin peeling the backing paper off of the statement try to make this edge as tight as possible and close to the wall instead of rounded like so or up and out like this and go slowly enough that you can watch this entire edge here and make sure that all the letters are staying on the transfer tape and not being lifted off onto the backing paper if you have a letter star sticking on the backing paper like so simply roll it back into position firmly press down and peel it away again make sure you don't let your skin touch the vinyl itself as the oils in your skin can damage the adhesive if you find that you're having a little more difficulty removing this backing paper we recommend that you watch our trou
