Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Docking Station (0A33970)

hi this is andrew from laptop abuse calm and i have here with me today well a laptop a monitor and a USB 3.0 port replicator this is a new one of a ThinkPad USB 3.0 port replicator it's specifically targeted at the crowd that wants a docking station but happened to have an ultrabook and ultrabooks tend not to have doc nice station solutions such as the new ThinkPad x1 carbon so this was released to coincide with that laptop now on since those ultrabooks do not have a docking connector on the bottom the next best thing is to connect the USB to to a port replicator so you can extend the amount of ports you have on on your device so this USB 3.0 solution actually allows for dual monitor output via DVI here so I just have one monitor attached and I don't actually have DVI input on my monitor its VGA and display port only so lenovo provides a DVI to vga adapter so that's what i'm using here
