all right my motherboard went bad and I wanted to take all the other stuff from the computer put it on a new motherboard so that way I just had to replace one part now the tactical error that I made was the power supply on the old motherboard had a four pin connector and you can see on the new motherboard there's an eight pin connector and on the power supply I've got six pin connectors and a four pin connector and then there's this little two pin connector that's supposed to get up next to the six pin connector and work but it doesn't so the solution for this problem rather than having to buy a new power supply now mind you depending on what you want to do you might need a new power supply if you're running a new motherboard in my case it's got enough watts to push it so they've built this adapter cable here's the manufacturer and part number citynet to cost three dollars and it hooks
