hi welcome to intro hand tools my name is Steve Branham I'm a woodworking hobbyist who's been working with hand tools for about five years I'm primarily self-taught which really just means that instead of a single teacher I've had multiple teachers all of those who've written books and articles made videos given classes and live demonstrations so I'm standing on their shoulders in this series I'm going to show you how to do all of your woodworking with hand tools and you might wonder why do that when we have power tools available the reason is very practical it's all about access if you don't have access to power tools and whatever your limitation whether it's money or space or noise or dust you can do all of the work with hand tools but there are other reasons as well they have nothing to do with practicality it's more about enjoyment of the craft it's a lot of fun and very satisfying
