hi everyone thank you very much for joining me today I'm going to go through how to configure a Cisco access point in standalone mode using the GUI the GUI interface is very straightforward so I've got an access point at 12:42 access point here which is connected to my local broadband router and it's going to receive a DHCP address what we will do is we'll configure a static IP address on that access point we'll go ahead then get on to the GUI and configure an SSID we'll call it W lam one we'll make sure we broadcast the SSID and we'll make sure there's no security to begin with just to do some testing make sure the laptop can connect to the access point will enable the wireless interfaces check the connectivity and once everything's ok then I'll go through how to add wpa2 appreciate key authentication to the access point as well ok so I've got my access point firing up here is booting
