Welcome to the Spy Collection. My name is Anastasios and together we will look at the popular spy camera from the 70s used by many intelligence agencies. This is the Kiev-30 from Arsenal manufactured at that time in Soviet Union and more specifically in Ukraine. There are many references to its history but to name a few here is one from the Crypto Museum where it's highlighted that likely the KGB and affiliated agencies were using it during the Cold War, typically for covert photography due to its small size. In the Crypto Museum you can also find some technical specifications for this camera.
