[Music] welcome back to hard rom box today we're taking a look at a new type of monitor one that's just hit the market in 2019 and something many of you have been requesting there are a few monitors out there that used this panel but the one I have in for testing is the HP omen X 27 actually the first HP monitor I've reviewed so that adds a bit of interest here to the thing that makes this monitor special is its refresh rate we're looking at a 1440p display so the standard 2560 by 1440 but it pushes up to 240 Hertz for the first time of course we've had 240 Hertz available with 1080p monitors for some time now but 1440p hasn't been able to step up to this super high refresh podium until now with these modern panels it won't be a surprise to many of you that 1440p at 240 Hertz requires a TN panel these days we do see some 1080p 240 Hertz panels using IPS and VA technology but as 1080p 24
