hello it's john from jp's tech repairs today we are going to be replacing the digitizer on a kindle fire eighth generation uh if you just have a look you can see smashed quite badly across the screen there uh so this is model number l5s83a um quite a number of videos going about on youtube for the sixth and seventh gen i couldn't actually find any videos for the 8th gen which is why i decided to do a video for this today hopefully help some of you out a little bit so first thing what do with this is we want to be removing the back case if you have an sd card in there you will need to take that out first as it will get in the way easiest way to do this is uh fingernails if you don't have fingernails there's a number of different tools on the market um it will buy tools such as this which are designed for case removal uh on these i find the easiest thing is just fingernails just work your
