hey guys for this video we're going to take a look at this amazon basics 7 port usb hub now i purchased this myself way back in 2015 so i've used it for a long time still using it today so as far as longevity goes it's worked out really well for me now when you buy it you also get the external power supply that plugs into a wall if you're unfamiliar with some of the the details about any usb hub is if you're looking for one you definitely want one with this external power supply because if you think about it it also comes with the usb cord but you're plugging into a single usb port on your computer and you're turning it into seven usb ports when your computer was made it was meant to power the single usb device now you're doing seven so it just doesn't provide enough power if you didn't have an external power supply to power these usb ports so you have to get one with the wall plug now
