Sony STR-DE485 Audio/Video Receiver with Surround Sound (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

[Music] hello friends in this video we're going to look at this sony av receiver this is model str de485 this is multi-channel av receiver that includes a surround sound decoder which is kind of the primary feature of an av receiver i got this at a thrift store for 29.98 with a 25 discount this one i believe is out of date i've been finding a lot of different av receivers and thrift stores lately and i think basically the issue is that they're obsolete in some way or another all the ones that i've tested so far have worked perfectly and this is another one in the line i haven't uh turned this on yet or done anything with it so next i'm going to plug it in and kind of do the smoke test so let's do a quick smoke check on this i'm going to turn it on or i'm going to turn on the power settings to watts 0.4 watts that makes sense with some sort of standby power that it has these things alway
