hello I'm Sarah and I'm with the NASA at my library project and cornerstones of science today I'm going to get you started with the seven by fifty celestron binoculars they provide seven times the magnification that your normal eyes do they're wonderful for viewing objects in the night sky all right let's get you started so the binoculars come with a great strap for around your neck a bag lens caps a lens claw and a great little instruction guide but I'm gonna get you started on learning how to focus the binoculars for yourself today all right there's three easy steps for doing this first you want to adjust the binoculars for the distance between your eyes and you do that by moving these barrels up and down you want to bring the binoculars to your eyes and move the barrels so that you end up just seeing one image all right image still might be a little blurry we're gonna get you focused
