Celestron 8" f/2.0 Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph RASA Telescope, OTA Only

hi everyone this is Trevor from Astro backyard comm and in this video I'm gonna show you exactly what the celestron murasa 8 is made of by capturing a few deep sky astrophotography images here in my city backyard although I've been capturing photos of nebulae and galaxies for years this is a completely new type of telescope for me [Music] the 8-inch rasa design is similar to an SCT a Schmidt Cassegrain telescope that is being used with the hyper star system with the camera threaded to the front corrector plate like you see here weird right the roll Ackerman Schmidt optical design of this telescope gives me a focal length of 400 millimeters at f2 f2 as you can see I've got the rasa 8 mounted to the handsomely color-matched celestron cg XL telescope mount the plan tonight is to capture some deep sky images using only 60 second exposures I will not be using an auto guiding system for impro
