hi I'm James and in this video I am replacing the hard drive in an Acer Aspire v5 five-three-one laptop now this laptop the hard drive has began to fail we were getting some windows corruption issues so we are going to remove it unfortunately on this laptop that does mean a fair bit of disassembly so we are going to start by removing the battery I've already removed the two screws here as we had to make some modifications to the keyboard and this one holds in the keyboard it also does not hold in the optical drive that must be attached elsewhere it appears so let's start by removing some of these lower chassis screws as we remove these we are going to place them at the top in the same arrangement as you're removing them from the bottom of the laptop this just makes it a little easier to keep track from where different screws came there's quite a number of screws in the base of this lapt
