so today I have this acer video monitor LED and it's a Model S 230 HL 19 volts 2.1 amps and it's totally dead so here's the AC adapter so let's go ahead and test this AC adapter and see if it's putting out any voltage before we even get started tearing the monitor apart because if it's just simply this little AC adapter as being the problem then let's take care of that first it's plugged into AC right now and I have no indicator whatsoever that this unit is working so let's get the fluke out and we'll test the voltage coming out of it and see if it's putting out any voltage before we tear the monitor parts so I am at 117 on DC volts and I'm just going to probe the ends here and I've got absolutely nothing just put it on ohms reverse it see if I get a filter capacitor charging and I do say capacitor and they're charging but I have no output whatsoever nothing so let's turn the unit apart
