okay so sometimes when you're out in the field you want to use two microphones and you want to go right into your DSLR or your mirrorless I'm using a Sony a 65 hundred with the microphone input and I'm using a handheld mic right now this is my beta 57 but guess what this custom Mogami cable goes down to a 3.5 millimeter and is plugged into a right and left splitter so plugged into the mic I've got a splitter like this that splits out the right and left stereo channels so that that allows me to have in effect two inputs and each input is going on to the separate channel either the left or the right channel which allows me to then adjust in post if the mic levels are a little bit different if somebody's speaking louder let's say have two people miked with a lav mic and one speaking louder than the other I can adjust that in post so this is not a standard splitter that just goes one into t
