this video will describe how to install or upgrade the internal memory in the Cisco 2800 series router before we do anything we need to make sure that the router is removed from the rack and is powered off with the power cord removed power switch is on the front of the router if it has one not all routers do if it has a power switch make sure it is in the off position and if it does not have a power switch make sure that the cord is removed you do not want any power on this unit when you are doing this to remove the top cover to access the memory you will have to remove three Phillips head screws one here one here and one here once these screws are removed you can raise the top of the unit slightly to the right and remove it once you have the lid off you will see that you have two slots for memory one that already has the factory memory installed and one that you can use for the upgrade
