[Music] here we are at the Nobel Research Institute cover crop plots this plot is brown top millet these plots were planted in the middle of May and we're now 10 weeks post planting this brown top millet is about two feet tall it doesn't get real tall but it generally makes nice thick growth something interesting has happened in this plot there have been some some mice or rats or rabbits that have clipped the seed heads off and so the ground is just littered and covered with the seed heads and tops have been clipped off of this plot that's why it looks a little bit thin these were clean tail plots established in a loamy soil with no herbicide the field had very heavy pigweed pressure and there are a few small pig weeds as I look in this plot but for the most part it looks pretty clean considering the pig weed pressure and the lack of herbicide here brown top millet Ardmore Oklahoma
