The full-sized HR-VP59U comes with JVC's Super-VHS Quasi Playback (SQPB) feature, which allows the VHS VCR to recognize and play back tapes recorded in the Super VHS format. This recorder is ready for action--just take it out and plug it in. A color, multilingual onscreen menu simplifies setup and operation, while Instant Review permits fast, simple playback of timer-recorded programs.

The HR-VP59U features a hi-fi, 4-head design that gives you crystal-clear pause and slow-motion effects, and its dual-azimuth construction uses 2 pairs of recording heads rather than one, each optimized for a specific mode (one for SP recording, the other for EP). Pro-Cision 19-micron heads deliver the clearest possible picture when recording or viewing in EP (extended-play) mode.

Picture Control lets you change the VCR's four picture-technology settings: "Auto/Normal" enables the Active Video Calibration System; "Soft" reduces image coarseness when viewing overplayed tapes; "Edit" minimizes degradation during editing (recording and playback); and "Sharp" gives you clearer, sharper-edged pictures.

The HR-VP59U comes with front audio/video jacks enabling easy access for connecting camcorders, video games, or an extra VCR. One-year, 8-event express programming and a full-function remote with shuttle-plus functionality complete the package.

we all know a special VCR when we see one and jvc being the inventor of the VHS format introduced this HR d five six six you probably in the 1980s maybe the mid to late 1980s this VCR is a beast it is very heavy it is full of features just ridiculous amounts of features it's like okay if we can think of a feature to put on there let's put it on there so let me get started to show you what all this monster has we're going to start from the left here and of course on the screen here on the LCD panel you have an array of things including like level meters for your audio your clock counter and of course the channel that you're listening to or watching and you have a P sy mole which I'll explain in a minute what that means stereo sa P and mono over here you have an array of controls for the VCR itself you know your rewind play that's forward stop pause you have two audio input manual control
