hey guys welcome to our Friday video today we're looking at running modern games on an older non-widescreen 19 inch monitor this is definitely a back to the roots type of video for the channel the plan was originally to publish this as a Tuesday bonus video but I've been very busy and distracted lately so this will have to do now what is this project all about by going with a non widescreen monitor you get a nice performance boost of just over 30% more FPS compared to a full HD 1080p widescreen monitor here we have two monitors side-by-side this is an older 19-inch non widescreen monitor with 1280 by 1024 resolution and on the right side your typical 24 inch full HD 1920 by 1080p monitor with these two monitors we can see that the vertical height of the image is basically identical so the main difference is that we are missing out on a bit of information on these sites with the 19 inch
