It's super easy to clean and the lack of a velcro closure not only allows it to look fashionable, it also avoids the inevitable frustration that velcro creates when tumbling around the dryer with other clothes and tugging on every thread. I understand that this won't work for everybody. Dignity Diner scarves are not particularly absorbent (although they do a good job snagging spaghetti sauce). They don't wipe clean like plastic bibs will (although they truly do wash up like a dream). They are not waterproof (although the density of the suede does prevent most spills from seeping through to your shirt).
