AntennaX Power Antenna Replacement Mast for Toyota Supra

the power antenna on my 96 lexus es 300 it's stuck in this up position i don't think it's a problem with the motor i think the cable that runs from the motor to the antenna that raises and lowers it i think that cable broke before i take the motor assembly out of the car i first want to pull the antenna out of the motor assembly take this lock nut off at the base of the antenna i'm going to loosen that lock nut by putting needle nose pliers down into those grooves and turning it to the left i'm going to put painters tape around the antenna those pliers might slip off and scratch the paint these pliers can slip off of that nut very easily so just take it nice and slow and the problem is a broken cable this cable should run all the way down into the motor their little teeth on one side they grab a hold of the gears and the motor and that's what raises and lowers the antenna if yours does
