the fourth generation ipad was the last of its kind it looked like the ipad 2 and 3 but made crucial improvements in performance whilst having a retina display and lightning port hey how's it going i'm josh from 91 tech and today we're taking a look at the fourth generation ipad how does it hold up 8 years later [Music] if we're talking classic apple the ipad 4 was the end of the line at least for ipads it was released with ios 6 back in late 2012 and the next year we got the ipad air and ios 7. there's no doubt the ipad air significantly improved things being faster lighter and having a 64-bit architecture but that said the ipad 4 does have a certain kind of charm that i would say is lacking in newer devices at least to me and it's held up really well all things considered well it's not exactly the smoothest experience on ios 10 it is definitely a whole lot better than the ipad 2 and t
