here we have an older iMac from 2008 2008 early 2009 a 2.4 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo it's only got 2 gigabytes of RAM so we're gonna show you how to upgrade the memory where we're gonna put in 6 gigabytes actually computers supposed to only be rated for 4 but there's some rumors on the web and etc that it'll take 6 so we ordered 6 gigabytes 1 4 gigabyte chip and 1/2 from Oh W see online was about 100 bucks 119 or something so we're gonna upgrade it to 6 and see if we can get it to read 6 gigabytes of RAM we're also going to show you how to install it ok so we've turned our 2008 2.4 gigahertz 20 inch iMac dual-core chip upgrade what it has 2 gigs of memory in it what we're gonna do is uh take those out and put 6 gigs in try to boost up the performance so you get a Phillips head screwdriver follow your anti-static procedures and this is the panel you lay it flat lay it yours it's screene
