Welcome to G-TV. Today we will be taking a closer look on how to choose one of DDK’s DMS series connectors for your applications. We will start out by looking at the part number. For this demonstration I have a DMS 3106A 22 dash 14S. The part number can be broken down into segments that identify the attributes of the connector. The first set of numbers identifies the receptacle or plug design. There are 6 design types available from DDK, which include their mounting options. The 3100A is a wall mount receptacle, the 3101A is a cable receptacle, and the 3102A is a box mount receptacle. The 3106A is a straight plug with a solid backshell, 3106B is a straight plug with a split backshell, and the 3108B is a right angle plug with a split backshell.
