Archos has come a long way since the days
of its earlier media players like this one from six years back. This is the Archos 10-inch internet tablet,
and looks-wise, I really quite like it. Rather than adopting the copycat approach to the
iPads that many recent tablets seem to have gone with, it's adopted a distinctive slim
line approach and it's only twelve millimeters thick. Despite its 10.1 inch screen, it's
actually pretty light, just a hundred grams heavier than the much smaller Samsung Galaxy
tab. Despite its lightness, it doesn't feel flimsy.
It feels quite solid to hold, in fact, although the combination of plastic and metal on the
back does give a slightly patchwork look. However, one feature which I love and think
all tablets should adopt is this. It's got a little kickstand which lets you stand it
on a table, means you don't have to hold on to it or lie it flat which lets you
