ASUS RT-AC88U Router and Seagate Expansion 1TB Portable External Hard Drive Bundle

Howdy howdy guys, Ponchato here, and today I’m going to show you the easiest way to add storage to your PC: the Seagate Expansion 1TB. Whether you need to store movies, music, pictures, or games, this is an incredibly easy and cheap way to do it. Take it out of the box, plug it into a USB port on your computer, and you instantly have access to a huge storage space. That’s… actually it, you just plug it in and it works. Now for the benchmarks. Like in my SSD video, I’ll be using ATTO Disk Benchmark to get the true read and write performance of the drive. Here you can see that the drive gets up to 96 MB/s read and 103 MB/s write. This is pretty fast for an external drive, especially considering that it runs at 5400RPM. If you’re on an older computer with no USB 3.0 ports, the drive still reads and writes at about 40MB/s, which is just about the upper limit for the USB 2.0 specification. H
