hello and welcome to another episode of laptop retrospective today we're going to be looking at a commercial-grade laptop from Asus called the x5 5-1 this is the C variant but pretty much like a lot of consumer products this has a variant in it depending on what region you are in this one was sold pretty much exclusively by Asus Canada and this is what you would call a basic basic laptop it sits on your lap it can connect to the internet it's got a hard drive it's got a little bit of RAM it's got an optical drive a big screen and a big keyboard and that's really all it was trying to be and I think it actually succeeds so let's just do a quick tour of the machine we do have this kind of textured plastic finish which for the most part seems to wear fairly well considering this machine's age along the side here we do have the following ports we do have a headphone microphone combo jack USB
