[Music] okay I want to show you how to change out the back doors on the GoPro hero3 waterproof housing when you got your Hero 3 it came with two backdoors it came with a waterproof backdoor which is a solid back door and also with the skeleton backdoor which has two holes in it the waterproof backdoor is great because it completely encloses your housing protects it from the elements anytime there's snow dust water that could get into your camera the waterproof backdoor protects your camera but the problem with it is it doesn't capture very good audio because it is completely enclosed so if it's dry and your camera is not at risk of getting exposed to the elements you can use the skeleton backdoor since this is not waterproof and if you're actually taking your housing into the water like kayaking canoeing surfing other water sports like that I strongly recommend getting a floaty backdoor
