Description
These are discontinued styles of the classic Back-A-Line Dynamic Back Support. They differ from the current Back-A-Line supports in two ways: 1) Cotton lining rather than an Orthowick stay-dry lining; and 2) Lumbar pad is a bit stiffer and takes some breaking in to soften and contour to the spine. Back-A-Line is the only back belt with a firm, anatomically-curved lumbar pad in a non-elastic support. The combination of anterior and posterior compression sends a behavioral signal to the spinal muscles, coercing them into proper alignment against the patented lumbar pad. This creates a bracing system that corrects spinal posture with dynamic muscle stabilization and improved spinal mechanics. **DIRECTIONS**: The belt is tapered to accommodate your waist-hip differential. If your waist is smaller than your hips, measure your waist at the smallest circumference and wear the belt with the tag facing UP. **INDICATIONS** Back-A-Line is not for everyone. Those with spinal anomalies - scoliosis, spinal fusion, kyphotic posture, spinal stenosis, advanced arthritis, etc. - may NOT be able to adjust their spine to the curve of the lumbar pad, making it somewhat uncomfortable and ineffective. There is no harm in trying, but unless your spine has enough flexibility to accommodate a lordosis, the belt cannot provide effective support. That category is about 5% of the population. But Back-A-Line works for most people who have moderate to severe lower back pain or fatigue problems. Skin irritation may occur with direct contact. Persons with known susceptibility to dermatitis or with broken skin should wear the support over clothing. **CARE** Machine wash, air dry. Do not machine dry. Do not expose to high temperatures, as this may damage the molded lumbar pad.
