In this video, we will show you how to
replace a battery in an SUA [? rack ?] [? mount ?] APC UPS. Please note that all APC battery
modules are [INAUDIBLE] [? swappable. ?] Therefore, you will not need to
disconnect or power down any load. Before we get started, you will need a
Phillips screwdriver and a new battery module. Start by removing the
front vessel of the UPS. Unscrew the four crews
that are securing the metal plate covering the battery module. Disconnect the battery connector
by pulling the white tie and pull out the old
battery module from the UPS. Insert the new battery module inside
the UPS and screw back the four screws. Reconnect the battery connector, and
run a self-test by pressing and holding the test button for two seconds. This will make the UPS
see the new battery module and the replace battery
alarm will clear. Finally, put back the
front vessel of the UPS.
