today we'll be tearing down a toshiba satellite m 305 this is an intel socket p based version this model works perfectly fine nothing wrong with it just gonna take it down for parts we'll start by taking out the big parts this is the battery two screws for the hard drive well two screws for the hard drive cover hard drive caddy has a flap so you can pull it out gently the hard drive has a an extension connector if you lose this extension connector there is actually another way to make it work it's not really the right way to do it but basically what you can do if you're in a pinch is you can modify the case so that the hard drive connect directly on to this connector it won't fit anymore in the caddy unless you modify it too but this is technically a way to get a working laptop you three screws for the middle cover which is memory and Wi-Fi we take that out by gently pressing on the sid
