we're going to do a little demo in the 1952 Bonanza today show Patrick around the old Bonanza preflighting it is real conventional just like any other airplane the only odd thing is the dry sump oil system in the old e220 5-11 engine if you go to check the oil put the engine cold the plane has been sitting for a couple of weeks you get nothing on the dipstick you won't get a proper oil quantity registration until you run the engine ok this is where the differences begin on these early model bonanzas you'll notice the not so economically correct ancient keyboard instrument panel looks cool looks very stylish but it's not economically correct you'll notice the landing gear lever right there looks like all the other levers including the flap lever the bull bonanzas are notorious for people inadvertently retracting the gear after landing instead of raising the flaps so you got to talk to yo
