ribbon tweeters okay this question comes from martin in sterling scotland hi paul thanks for your dedication to these videos they're a great source of information and any questions i have on audio has usually been answered over the years why thank you sir however i haven't found an answer to this one ribbon tweeters i've recently purchased a pair of atom audio 5 v studio monitors for listening at my desk when i'm away from my main system i expected good results having read reviews but the ribbon tweeters just blew me away the clarity is a level above what i get on my admittedly older bowers and wilkins 601s bmws it seems when looking at loudspeakers ribbon tweeters are used by some manufacturers but they are a lot rarer than a standard tweeter why is that does it come down to cost ease of manufacturing or is it just time for me to upgrade my speakers on my main system thank you well mar
