Description
Sourced from the Eastern Bighorn Basin District in Wyoming, Bighorn Mountains Indian Healing Clay is a sodium bentonite that has been called “the clay of 1000 uses”. Native tribes recognized its natural healing abilities, and legend indicates that medicine men in this region used what was considered a miraculous natural clay called Ee-Wah-Kee, or “the mud that heals”. This clay is unique because of its extremely high absorption and adsorption properties, and acts as a magnetic micro-sponge for toxins and impurities. Bighorn Mountains Indian Healing Clay has a cation exchange capacity (CEC) of 89 – 107 meq, which is the strongest “pulling action” for maximum extraction of stubborn pollutants. It swells up to 15 – 20 times when hydrated, making it able to increase its negatively-charged area many times over. This results in an unparalleled ability to exchange minerals within its structure for environmental contaminants and toxic organic substances. The pH of this clay is 9 – 10.5, the highest found in any other clay, which makes it an excellent choice for raising body pH levels and detoxification. We recommend our Bighorn Mountains Indian Healing Clay when a deep detoxification cleanse is required, and our Coastal Plain Indian Healing Clay when a powerful but gentle cleanse is preferred.
