Blue Sea 8110 Mini Clamp Multimeter

hi Chuck Holly from west marine and today I'm with Dave Johnson from blue sea systems this is one of their neat little test meters now this particular one has a clamp-on feature so that you can measure will tell us about it what can you measure with the clam what's nice is that actually you don't have to you can just push this around a wire and that's what you use to measure the current and if you don't have a clamp meter you're often having to penetrate the wire or find the ends of the terminal so it's going to be very complicated and difficult so the types of wires that you might use this on could be like an alternator output a lot of votes don't write tell you exactly what the alternator is putting out it's sort of mysterious you have one amperage measurement which might be going in or out of the battery with this you would just put it over the alternator's as a wire that's exactly r
