[Music] [Music] this is the Ford nine-inch rear end this is the standard by which all other rear ends are measured it is beefy it'll handle more power than you can probably throw at it but this one is junk it has drum brakes it has a 270 ratio it is not a limited slip or a traction lock or odd or whatever they call it it is none of those things fortunately I have something else over here this is a Ford 8.8 inch rear end it's from a 99 Mountaineer it has disc brakes and has a limited-slip it is a 373 ratio and that will hold almost as much power as you would ever give it certainly more than I'm making them the Cougar it is within a quarter inch of the same width as a nine inch in there so it's just about a Bolton about as close as you can get to a Bolton replacement and so the time came to pull the old nine-inch out of the car the thing weighs literally as much as I do and it's been bolt
