Pre-cut laminating pouches make encapsulation
of smaller documents as easy as inserting your trimmed paper into a laminating pouch,
then running it thru a desktop pouch laminator. Choosing the right laminating pouch size for
your project is easier than it may seem. The most helpful tools are
a ruler and some quick math. First, measure the length and width
dimensions of your printed item. Let's use a 4 x 6 in. photo as an example. Full encapsulation requires a minimum of 1/8 in. all the way around the entire document
in order to ensure an airtight, waterproof seal. The quickest way to add 1/8 in. to all sides
of your document is to simply add 1/4 in. to the dimensions of your project. For our 4 x 6 in. photo, we need a laminating pouch that measures at least 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 in.
