I was putting together my welding table using an
entry level flux core welder from Harbor Freight, which has a chart in it for welding
settings based on material thickness.
However, the 1" square tube I'm using for the
welding table is given in decimal thickness, which I didn't know offhand how to convert
and had to stop a minute to figure out the equivalent gauge thickness.
To avoid this issue in the future, I looked up the different gauge thicknesses
online, printed them out with my label maker, and put them above the chart for easy reference.
This way, in the future, I don't have to stop my flow of work to determine
voltage and wire feed settings.
